Since Hainan Cancer Hospital began operating it’s ‘open during holidays’ scheme on the 27th of October, it has been met with a warm reception by patients, with demand for the holiday outpatient clinic surging.
To meet the needs of specialist treatment for patients, starting from the 15th of December, the hospital opened four specialist clinics to run during the holidays. These clinics are under the basis of general medical and surgery clinics and include the departments of hepatic-biliary-pancreatic surgery, gynaecology, integrated Chinese and western medicine, and breast cancer. This consequently allows for diagnosis and treatment services to be even more precise and efficient.’
It is also worth noting that the demand for having specialists who can attend to patients on weekends is also high. It is reported that during holidays, in addition to providing regular outpatient services, all technical medical examinations, including CT scans, MRI scans, painless gastroscopies, intraoperative frozen pathology, as well as emergency treatments and surgeries will be carried out as usual. In the future, the hospital will continue to adjust and optimize the diagnosis and treatments services during holidays based upon the needs of patients and for the benefit of patients.
