Capsule Endoscopy

Capsule endoscopy: the main characteristic of the whole gastrointestinal tract is that it’s a kind of simple, fast, non-invasive, continuous visibility examination.  The advantage is easy to operate, applying the principle of one person using one mirror. There is no cross infection or invasion. It is dynamic, which can clearly show each part of the digestive tube, especially the intestine disease which can't be proved before. Capsule endoscopy has made outstanding contributions to the research of small intestine disease and will further promote the development of the endoscopic diagnosis and the research of small intestinal diseases.

Indications:

1、Patients with enterogenous abdominal pain and diarrhea that cannot be explained;

2、Inflammatory bowel disease which may involve small intestinal diseases;

3、patients with iron deficiency anemia;

4、Patients with intestinal malnutrition;

5、Patients with irritable bowel syndrome excluded from small intestinal lesions;

6、Patients with intestinal tumors and polyps;

7、Patients with unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding;

8、Patients with vascular malformation;

9、Intestinal mucosal injury caused by NSAIDS;

10、Patients with intestinal parasitic diseases.
