Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery and General Surgery are comprehensive disciplines aimed at diagnosis, treatment, teaching, scientific research and the prevention of abdominal tumors. They mainly carry out comprehensive surgical treatment of abdominal tumors, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, hepatic hemangioma, gallbladder cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, retroperitoneal tumors, splenic tumors, surgery for various benign and malignant diseases in general surgery and perioperative chemotherapy of gastrointestinal tumors. They also perform non-contact hepatectomy via anterior approach, radiofrequency ablation combined with portal vein ligation for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, trans-natural colorectal cancer, transumbilical single-port laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery and complex hepatobiliary-pancreatic-gastrointestinal surgery. They also adhere to the multi-disciplinary comprehensive consultation (MDT) of abdominal and soft tissue malignant tumors. Based on the multi-disciplinary consultation carried out by surgery and chemotherapy, radiotherapy, imaging and pathology, they formulate reasonable treatment plans. According to the treatment criteria and the specific conditions of patients, the best combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy is achieved through the demonstration of multi-disciplinary experts, which provides the most suitable combination for patients. Professor Shao Yongfu, an undergraduate, was awarded the Best Medical Care Award. He was the chairman of the Pancreatic Cancer Professional Committee of the Chinese Oncology Society, the vice-chairman of the Pancreatic Cancer Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and the vice-chairman of the Colorectal Cancer Professional Committee. He enjoyed the subsidies from the State Council and has been engaged in clinical and basic research of oncolon surgery for 50 years. He has been engaged in cancer and has profound knowledge and rich clinical experience in treating breast cancer. Professor Li Duo, Director of the Department, studied liver and abdominal cancer surgery in Austria and the United States. Graduated from the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, he served as the executive director of the Hainan Branch of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, the deputy director of the hepatobiliary and pancreatic group of the Hainan Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and was part of the newsletter Editorial Committee of the Chinese Journal of Clinicians (electronic edition). He is a member of AAAS, American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, of the Editorial Board of Communication of Chinese Journal of Endoscopic Surgery, of EATS (European Association for Transluminal Surgery) since 2011, and is on the editorial board of SAGES (Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons) Journal of Liver Cancer.
