The Department of Emergency is one of the fasted-developing departments of our hospital, which has a technically skilled team with a rationale personnel structure. There are 10 doctors and 11 nurses in our department, including 3 physicians with senior job titles and 3 attending physicians. Dr. Caidan Gongbao, the leading scholar of the team, is a chief physician and a second-class professor who is granted the special allowance by the State Council. Dr. Jie Zhang, an associate chief physician, is the executive chief of the department.
The department is equipped with respirators, defibrillators, paunch flushers, glidescopes, retraction beds, intermediate frequency therapy apparatuses, short wave therapy apparatuses, heating lamps, surgical drills, instruments of hand surgery and etc., we are doing all our efforts to save lives. As is implied by the analogue that emergency work is like “shooting before aiming”, fast receiving, fast diagnosis and fast treatment of patients are the key to improve survival rate and prognosis of patients.
What We Do
We have constructed a consummate, fast and powerful supporting system for emergency based on our pre-inspection triage protocol, excellent medical and nursing skills and humanized service. We are also linked to the 120 emergency center so as to provide 24-hour emergency care and rescues.
We manage trauma and critical cases as well as common diseases with 24-hour stand-by service integrating fast diagnosis, early intervention, real-time monitoring, precision assessment, multi-organ support and individualized treatment just for the most optimized outcome of our patients.
We handle traumas, bone fractures and hand injuries by using plaster external fixation, Kirchner nail internal fixation and suturing tendons.
We treat internal diseases including cardiovascular diseases (i.e. hypertension, myocarditis, cardiac angina, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure and postoperative observation of interventional cardiovascular surgery), neurologic conditions (i.e. cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, hypokalemic periodic paralysis, facial palsy and postoperative observation of neural surgery), endocrine conditions (i.e. diabetes mellitus and its complications), digestive diseases (i.e. gastritis, peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, colonitis and etc.), respiratory diseases (i.e. pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, asthma, bronchiectasis and etc.), urinary diseases (i.e. urinary cystitis, pyelonephritis, acute or chronic renal dysfunction and etc.) , alcoholic and drug intoxication and so on.
